Built in India, for how India talks.
Betterflo started with a frustration: voice typing on Android still treats regional Indian languages, and the way people switch between them mid-sentence, as an afterthought. We're building voice dictation for any app that runs on your phone — a floating mic by default, and a full keyboard with dictation on a key and Fix, Tone, Rewrite and Translate running on the phone. On-device by default, no account, free to start.

On-device by default isn’t a feature. It’s the starting point.
Your words are processed on the device in your hand — by default, with no server in the loop. We say “by default,” not “never,” because a cloud Pro mode is planned as an opt-in you’d switch on knowing exactly what leaves your phone. Everything the free app does today, it does on your device. That’s a design decision we made first and built everything else around.
See why on-deviceOne honest story, told in four places.
The rule we hold ourselves to: the store listing, this website, the privacy policy, and the app itself all say the same thing. If a claim isn’t true in the shipped app, it doesn’t go anywhere. When something is early or rough, we concede it instead of hiding it.
“Your voice becomes text on your phone — nothing leaves the device by default.”
- Play Store listing
“On-device by default. Works offline. Free to start.”

“Nothing you dictate leaves your device by default.” Same words, same page you’re on — and we say plainly that the site itself uses analytics and heatmaps.
Back to home → - The privacy policy
What we do and don’t collect, in plain language — not lawyer fog.
Read the policy → - The app itself

Same story, four places. That’s the whole discipline.
A small team, a few firm rules.
We’re early, and we’d rather be trusted than impressive. These are the rules we don’t bend.
Honest by default
Anything not yet shipped is labelled “planned,” never described as if it’s live. Real over aspirational, every time.
Concede the rough edges
Cleanup quality, language coverage, and our resources are early. We say so on the page rather than bury it — the honesty is the position.
India-first, not India-also
Eleven languages today, tuned for the way people actually switch between them mid-sentence — not one model stretched across every language at once.
Free to start, for real
Unlimited on-device dictation, no account. A cloud Pro tier is planned and will be priced for India and announced closer to launch — no made-up number today.
What’s live today, and what’s still planned.
The clearest way to keep one honest story is to draw the line out loud. Here’s where it sits right now.
Live in this build
- On-device dictation, eleven languages
- Floating mic over any app, plus a full keyboard you type on — suggestions, and dictation on a key beside the space bar
- Fix, Tone, Rewrite and Translate on that keyboard, running on your phone — Fix, Tone and Rewrite need a model you download and aren't offered on the lowest device tier; Translate is on every tier
- Works fully offline, no account needed
- Nothing sent to a server by default
- Built to run on budget phones — see exactly what yours gets
Planned — not in this build
- Opt-in cloud Pro tier (price to be announced)
- Opt-in personalization, and an opt-in way to help improve accuracy
- Privacy Mode controls UI
Plans change as we learn. When one of these ships, it moves columns here first — then everywhere else.
Try the honest version.
Free to start, no account, works offline from the first tap. You’ll turn on the floating mic after install — it’s quick, and we walk you through what it needs and why.
